Every mile becomes an opportunity for real-world command. We’ll balance complex mooring maneuvers, emergency troubleshooting, and night navigation with team coordination and strategic passage planning. This is the ultimate experience to merge high-level professional training with the thrill of offshore sailing, giving you the confidence to lead a vessel and its crew in total autonomy.

The itinerary may be subject to change based on weather and sea conditions at the sole discretion of the skipper-instructor, ensuring the highest safety standards at all times.

    FAQ

Who is the Skipper Course for?
    • Experienced Sailors: Perfect if you have already gained solid nautical and sailing experience and are ready for the next level.

    • Advanced Specialization: Designed for those seeking high-level training, even if you haven’t obtained your nautical license yet.

    • Skill Sharpening: Ideal if you want to master professional moorings, secure anchoring, and test your abilities in challenging sea conditions.

    • Future Co-Skippers: This course is the official gateway for anyone wishing to join our fleet and work as a Co-Skipper in our upcoming flotillas.

Do I need a nautical license?

No, a license is not required to participate. This course has an independent educational value and takes place in waters where a license is not mandatory for trainees. If you are planning to get your license in the future, ask us how to integrate this course into your training path.

    What should I pack?

Please bring a soft-sided bag (no hard suitcases). Your essentials: a sweatshirt for the evening, swimwear, a towel, sunscreen, a hat, snorkeling gear, and shoes with non-marking light soles. If you take personal medication, remember to bring it with you.

How does the “Common Kitty” (Cassa Comune) work?

The Cassa Comune is a shared fund managed by the crew to cover the galley (food & drinks), fuel, and any port fees. The skipper is exempt from this contribution. The final amount depends on the group’s choices and lifestyle.

How many people will be on board?

The course takes place on a single catamaran with a group of 6–10 participants. This small group size ensures everyone gets real time at the helm and individual attention from the instructor.

    What if I get seasick?

It happens! We will support you with practical advice on nutrition, positioning on board, and timing. If you know you are prone to motion sickness, we recommend bringing a personal remedy that you have previously tested.
